After our first issue of The Fort, we decided that featuring a Rising Star every 3 months just wasn’t sufficient. There are so many amazing photographers out in the world, and we wanted to showcase them monthly. That being said, The Fort blog is where we’ll be featuring all of our future Rising Stars.
We recently came across Danielle Kruse of Polka Dot Umbrella Photography. Danielle’s work is like a breath of fresh air. It’s vibrant and full of life. One of the things that we loved about her sessions, is she has an ability to capture true expressions. It’s obvious that she allows kids to be themselves, and that is how she captures such special moments. We are so excited to feature her as a Rising Star!

My name is Danielle Kruse, and I am a photographer specializing in babies and children in Appleton, WI. I love to laugh, completely wishes my life came with a soundtrack, am obsessed with color and try not to take myself too seriously. Life is way too short to not have fun. I love what I do and really just like to make people smile. When I am not behind the camera, I’m hanging with my two energetic toddlers, Lydia (4) and Joey (almost 2) and absolutely lucked out in the husband department.
