Rising Star-Chubby Cheek Photography:

We have a wonderful treat for you on The Fort blog today.  A couple of months ago we received a submission from an extremely talented woman.  We immediately fell in love with her work, and we’ve been impatiently (hehe) waiting to unveil her Rising Star blog post.  With no further a do, we’d like to introduce Shalonda Chaddock of Chubby Cheek Photography!!!

Hi, it’s ME, mommy cheeks, Shalonda (don’t ask my parents are crazy), and I am the face behind Chubby Cheek Photography.  I live in Houston, TX with the love of my life, aka daddy cheeks; my brown eyed freckled nose oldest daughter, cheeks #1; and my one green eye one blue eye sass-a-frass youngest daughter, cheeks #2.  After graduating from Texas A&M with an engineering degree, and living the “corporate life” for a few years, cheeks #1 arrived.  Somewhere between dancing around singing 80s music with a crying baby all morning, staring googly-eyed at her in the afternoon and rarely putting on makeup, I picked up a camera…turns out the rest is history.  My flair for the creative (and umm the dramatic) sent me down a path I could never have imagined I would take but can’t imagine I could be anywhere else at this very moment.  My mantra for every session is to capture the essence of each and every child I have the pleasure of meeting.  You see, one of the best things about having children is seeing the world from a whole different perspective, colors are brighter, sugar is sweeter,  you live and love without abandon, and jumping off the front porch step seems like you just jumped off the empire state building.  I’m just lucky enough to be able to capture it everyday.

With Summer kicking into full throttle, what better way to celebrate than with some sweet images of a little guy and his family enjoying a day of sun, surf and sand!
