Session Share-Randi Marie Photography:

I’m absolutely thrilled that I get to feature another beautiful family on the blog today.  Thank you to Randi Marie Photography for submitting this session to The Fort.

Get to Know Randi:

Hi there! In 2011, I started Randi Marie Photography in Los Angeles.  Randi Marie Photography is a Boutique Wedding Photography company that specializes in chic, editorial and timeless work. Having been born and raised in this wonderful city we call LA, I feel blessed to be able to guide my clients in to beautiful little nooks and cranny’s of the city which make beautiful backdrops for Engagement Portraits. My motto is that life is short and sweet, therefore living in the moment and doing what you love and what loves you is most important. Photography chose me and in turn, I chose it.

A Bit About the Session:

This sweet family contacted me just a few weeks before Thanksgiving in search of a family photographer for their holiday photos. Their two beautiful blue eyed babies smiled the afternoon away, even Julian (who wasn’t feeling up to par), managed to give us a few pearly whites. Once we brought out the soccer ball, he was good to go! What could be better than spending an afternoon at one of my favorite locations with this cute fam bam?

Session Share-Janice Reyes Photography:

Thank you to Janice Reyes Photography for submitting this amazing family session.  There are three boys in this family, can you imagine how much this momma is loved . . . I’ll bet it’s to the moon and back!

Get to know Janice:

I think fun is hanging out and everyone feeling relaxed and I bring this to my sessions.  I love learning about the people I meet through photography: what they are passionate about, what makes them crinkle their noses, how they smile with their eyes.  I live in Austin, TX and my photography specializes in authenticity and capturing a sense of individualism.

A bit about the session:

The “R” family wanted some updated family photos of all five of them.  I met the “R” family through a mutual friend that always had the most wonderful things to say about them.  I knew the session was going to be relaxed, laid back, and with awesome kids.   Families with three or more kids are really inspiring to my work. The more kids at the session – the more connections I get to create as the photographer!

Valentine’s Day Winners:

It was EXTREMELY difficult to narrow your Valentine’s Day images down.  I had planned on only having one winner, but just couldn’t narrow it down between these 2 sessions.  I LOVED both of them for completely different reasons.  I think you’ll understand why there was a tie when you see them.  To make it fair, I’m going to show them in alphabetical order by the business name. :)

This ADORABLE kissing booth session was submitted by Jenne Vazquez Photography.  The booth, the props, his outfit, and that sweet smile!  Seriously . . . could this get any cuter???

You can see more of Jenne’s work on her   Website  |  Blog  |  Facebook Page.

I also LOVED this “You ROCK” session.  Sometimes it’s hard to come up with “cool” Valentine’s Day card ideas for the older boys.  I loved how Traci Falder Photography was able to take something that her son loves and turn that into a Valentine’s Day card that he would be excited to hand out.  So creative!!!

Rising Star-Gina Kiesel:

Thank you to Gina Kiesel of 505 Pictures for submitting this radiant family session.  It’s dripping with  golden goodness.   This session won me over from the start.  It had the swoon trifecta beautiful sunlight, a loving family, and a sweet pooch!

Get to know Gina:

Hello there. My name is Gina. I am a wife and mother of three. I am a photographer in Corpus Christi, Texas.  I have been interested in photography for about two years and started doing sessions for friends and clients about a year and a half ago. I see photography as a gift that was given to me. The camera has encouraged my eyes to see what was right in front of them all along. WONDER. My hope for each session, is that the people that I photograph would gain a new perspective on how beautiful and precious their lives are. The simple, imperfect details that fill our “every day” are what I long to capture. I love noticing the way people love and laugh and play.

A bit about the session:

This sunlit session is one of my favorites. This little man was 16 months at the time, and was ready to explore! I love shooting in wide open spaces. I encourage families to enjoy each other, and my hope is that they will forget that I am there at all! This family was full of love for each other – their easiness together and ability to laugh at the unexpected made them a joy to photograph.

Inspirational Thoughts:

My son’s teacher sent his monthly calendar home the other day, and it had this wonderful quote on it, and I wanted to share it with you.  I know that sometimes it’s easy to get down on yourself.  There are many times that I feel like I’m not good or worthy enough, and I personally know that it can be very difficult to overcome those thoughts.  Hopefully you never feel that way, but if you do, this quote will help put things back in perspective.
